Czech Government Scholarships 2027/2028
The Government of the Czech Republic Scholarships provide international students from selected developing and specific countries with opportunities to pursue higher education at public universities in the Czech Republic. The programme is part of the country’s foreign development cooperation initiative and has supported more than 20,000 international graduates over the years.
For the 2027/2028 academic year, eligible applicants can apply for selected Master’s and Doctoral programmes taught either in Czech or English. Czech-taught Master’s programmes are available to applicants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Ukraine, and Belarus (democratic forces), with a one-year Czech-language preparatory course included. English-taught Master’s and Doctoral programmes are available to applicants from all eligible countries.
Applicants need a Bachelor’s degree for a follow-up Master’s programme and a Master’s degree for doctoral studies. Those applying for English-taught programmes must also complete an online English-language test during the application process.
The application period runs from 21 August to 30 September 2026, with successful applicants beginning their studies in the 2027/2028 academic year. Applicants can submit only one application and must complete the required tests and motivation letter.
